The Helderberg Hot Club is a Django-style, jazz manouche ensemble based in the Capital District.  Repertore includes tunes from the American Songbook and Tin Pan Alley along with swing standards and jum blues.  Often called Gypsy Jazz, it is an ebullient, accessible style of music made popular by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli in 1930’s Paris. Members of the Helderberg Hot Club include guitarists John Whitbread and Adam Payne, bassist David Howe with guests Steven Horowitz on trumpet and clarinetist Robin Seletsky.
